This journey is extremely personal. For me, lettering started a a hobby, a creative outlet really. First, from my job (all screens all the time)...then, from my marriage. And now, from the rebuilding of my life post-divorce. It was a beautiful escape for the girl who spent years telling herself she didn’t have a creative bone in her body. And it was incredibly humbling. I have fairly attractive handwriting so I thought I was going to be a beast at lettering. If you scroll back to the beginning of my Instagram profile, you will see how quickly I was humbled! Anyway, that’s why I started lettering in general. Why did I start a business though? This could have easily remained a hobby. But I am a starter. Great with the ideas, less with the execution. I got tired of starting a bunch of things and not seeing them to completion. I go with the flow, I’m typically a high performer but it comes with high stress levels. More than anything, I needed to prove to myself that I can do this after “they” (and they actually do exist) told me I can’t. Hella cliche, I know. That one voice though, I have to get it out of my head and this feels like a wonderful way. If I don’t sell a single item on

this website, that’s totally fine. I just want to share the beauty that is lettering and calligraphy with the world. If my designs make just one person as happy as they make me, this will all have been worth it. I don’t know what my purpose is or if I even have one, but lettering is close enough.
